About the Filmmakers
James Lester, director/producer
James Lester is a native New Yorker and independent filmmaker. “Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story” is his first feature as a director. His short films have won awards at the New York Television Festival and the Jackson Hole Film Festival, played the Hollywood Film Festival and have been featured on IFC. As a producer and senior editor he helped lead the way on Marc Levin’s “Chicagoland,” the acclaimed CNN documentary series from executive producer Robert Redford. His editor and producer resume includes programming for HBO, AMC, A&E, CBS, NBC, FOX, MSNBC, USA Network, and Sundance Channel. Before working in film and TV, Lester studied piano and composition. He performed and taught piano, guitar, music theory, and jazz history in New York.
Frank Hall Green, producer
Frank Hall Green is a writer/director and producer and partner at Catch & Release Films. His directorial debut feature WILDLIKE played over 150 festivals, won over 80 festival awards and opened in theaters in September 2015. Frank runs the development fund and production company Catch & Release Films with producer/partner Tom Heller (FOXCATCHER, PRECIOUS, 127 HOURS, MUD) in New York. Frank recently produced REMITTANCE, the sophomoric feature of writing/directing team Joel Fendelman and Patrick Daly (DAVID). In prior years, Frank produced GHETTO KLOWN for HBO starring John Leguizamo, ALLEGIANCE starring Aiden Quinn, Bow Wow, Seth Gabel and Pablo Schreiber and 1-900- TONIGHT starring John Turturro among other titles.
CHANDRA C. SILVER, executive producer
Chandra C. Silver has worked at Hart Sharp Entertainment, The Gersh Agency, and for independent film producer Mary Jane Skalski. Chandra’s producing credits include, "The Revisionaries," which won a special jury prize at the Tribeca Film Festival and received a Dupont Award for journalism. Chandra also worked as a Creative Executive for Green Hummingbird Entertainment for three years, developing several projects including “La Vispera,” written by Clara Roquet (“10,000km”). Chandra holds a B.A. from New York University and an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University.
SUSAN WRUBEL, executive producer
Susan Wrubel is an executive producer on Hyperion’s MAGGIE’S PLAN, which was released by Sony Pictures Classics in May 2016, executive producer on LA TIMES, which just had its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca and Berlin award-winner JUNCTION 48, and the Netflix Original doc I’LL SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD on DJ Steve Aoki, as well as co-executive producer on Hyperion’s THE HALLOW which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film. She was also a production exec on the film STILL ALICE. Wrubel has recently taken on the role as Executive Director of Aspen Film, a film society located in Aspen, CO.
MEG RETICKER, consulting editor
Meg Reticker is an accomplished editor in both film and television. Her television credits include the award winning shows Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, True Detective, 30 Rock, Bored To Death, Big Love, and The Wire. She recently completed editing Jonathan Ames new show Blunt Talk starring Patrick Stewart. Meg’s feature film credits include Come Early Morning directed by Joey Lauren Adams, Winter Passing by Adam Rapp, Heavy directed by James Mangold, and Wet Hot American Summer directed by David Wain. Meg’s documentary work includes A Decade Under the Influence directed by Richard LaGravenese and Ted Demme and The Big One directed by Michael Moore.
KELLY BACHMAN, associate producer
Kelly Bachman is a writer, director and producer from North Carolina, currently working to produce and promote independent films in New York. She additionally works as a film production, development and marketing coordinator, contributing to independent features such as WILDLIKE (Frank Hall Green), REMITTANCE (Joel Fendelman, Patrick Daly) and LYLE (Stewart Thorndike). As a writer-director, her debut short film, BOOBS, will be premiering at the LA Shorts International Film Festival this August. Additionally she is a founder of two film organizations in New York, “Women Independent Producers”, a network of women producers, and “Curve Filmmakers,” a collective of budding filmmakers.
Kristin Irwin, co-producer
With deep roots in Québec, Co-Producer Kristin Irwin’s reverence for storytelling grew from an inherent need to express her unique cultural history. After moving to New York City, Irwin launched her film career assisting the Academy Award winning Director Joachim Back. In addition to her independent projects, Irwin has produced several television series for Discovery ID, the Travel Channel, and the History Channel.
